Co-head of Global Fixed Interest and Credit 
Tony is co-head of Global Fixed Interest and Credit, with joint responsibilities for the overall management of the Fixed Interest and Credit team and process. His principal focus is the management of the credit analysis and portfolio construction process, as it applies to all the fixed interest portfolios and mandates. He has direct charge of the credit focused portfolios, where the management of credit risk, as opposed to duration risk, is the main source of return. He has also played a significant role in the support and development of Colonial First State Global Asset Management’s Asian fixed interest and credit business.

Tony has been with Colonial First State Global Asset Management for eight years. The 29-member Fixed Interest and Credit team manages more than $26 billion for Australian and international investors. It provides credit support for more than $65 billion in total cash, fixed interest and credit.

Co-head of Global Fixed Interest and Credit 
Warren is co-head of Global Fixed Interest and Credit, with joint responsibilities for the overall management of the Fixed Interest and Credit team and process. His principal focus is the implementation of strategy in Australian and global fixed interest funds, as well as for sector allocation strategies in the Colonial First State diversified fixed interest funds. He also oversees foreign exchange transactions and processes.

Warren joined the business in February 1997 as Head of Fixed Interest for First State Fund Managers. The 29-member Fixed Interest and Credit team manages more than $26 billion for Australian and international investors. It provides credit support for more than $65 billion in total cash, fixed interest and credit.

   

Annette Mullen

Annette Mullen 

Senior Portfolio Manager
Annette was appointed to the role of Senior Portfolio Manager in October 2008. She is responsible for the management of the sector risks across the fixed interest and credit portfolios of the Global Fixed Interest and Credit team as well as the overall management of diversified fixed interest portfolios. Annette also researches, develops and manages strategies for the nominal and inflation linked bond portfolios and manages interest rate, stock selection and currency hedging for the portfolios.

   

Chris Kourt new

Senior Portfolio Manager
Chris is a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Global Fixed interest and Credit team with main portfolio responsibilities for managing global sovereign Bond funds. He is also the process owner of the Curve Strategic process and part of the Duration Process  and Sector Process teams.

   

Francois Kong new

François Kong 

Senior Portfolio Manager
François is a Senior Portfolio Manager and has overall responsibility for ensuring that Australian nominal and inflation linked portfolios are managed in accordance with client mandates, and reflect the relevant investment strategies (e.g.: duration, curve and sector) determined by the various process teams in the group.

François is also the owner of the “CPI Process” and is responsible for the development and documentation of the investment process for inflation linked bonds.  He ensures that the investment strategy decisions deriving from the process are clear and transparent, and are applied across all portfolios.

   

Kim Abercrombie

National Manager, Mortgage Investments
Kim has been with Colonial First State since September 1998 following the integration of the Bricks & Mortar Mortgage Fund from Colonial Investment Management. Prior to joining Colonial First State, Kim was responsible for all the mortgage lending operations of Colonial Investment Management in his role as Senior Manager for both the Mortgage Fund and the Colonial Group statutory funds. During this period Kim successfully managed the Mortgage Fund through considerable growth.

Prior to joining Colonial Investment Management in 1995, Kim worked for five years as State Manager Victoria and Tasmania for MGICA. MGICA was a subsidiary of AMP that specialised in provision of credit risk insurance for residential and commercial property mortgage loans. In this position Kim was responsible for all aspects of mortgage insurance risk acceptance (all classes), default control, recovery etc which involved direct liaison with all major lending institutions. MGICA was also a pioneer of mortgage loan securitisation in Australia and Kim was directly involved with its successful implementation into the mainstream business of MGICA.

Prior to MGICA, Kim was employed by the National Australia Bank for 14 years where he gained a solid background and broad experience in all facets of lending with particular emphasis on property finance.

   

Sarah Percey-Dove

Sarah Percy-Dove

Head of Credit Research
Sarah manages the credit research team, which provides credit research and monitoring for the Global Fixed Interest and Credit, and the Cash teams. This covers a combined total of funds under management of some $60 billion.

Sarah was previously the Head of Credit Research, Markets for ANZ and was voted No. 1 for Australian Credit Research and Analysis by Insto Magazine in 2006 and 2007. In addition, Sarah was awarded Fixed Interest Credit Analyst of the year by CFO Magazine in 2006. Sarah started her career in business and corporate lending in Australia before moving to Singapore in 1997 to cover Asian credit for AllianceBernstein, one of the world’s largest Fund Managers. In 2000 she joined Merrill Lynch in London as a sell-side credit analyst. While at Merrill Lynch, Sarah received numerous awards culminating with her Number 1 rankings as High Yield TMT analyst by Institutional Investor Magazine and High Yield Consumer analyst by Euromoney in 2002. Her experience spans business and corporate lending, project and structured finance, complex loan workouts, and high yield and investment grade credit analysis.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) and a Masters of Business Administration.

   
 

Murray Collis

Head of Asian Fixed Interest
Murray is responsible for a team of five investment professionals based in Hong Kong, managing a range of Asian Bond and Emerging Markets portfolios.

Murray joined the firm in 1996 and was initially seconded to the Colonial State Bank Treasury. During his time at the Treasury, he worked in the Market Risk and Economic Research areas before moving to the Foreign Exchange trading desk to manage currency derivative portfolios. In 2000, Murray moved to First State Investments to manage the Foreign Exchange Hedging operations. He was then transferred to our UK office in 2001, where he took on a Portfolio Manager role, managing multicurrency Global Bond, Money Market, Sterling Credit, Inflation-Linked and Gilt portfolios. Murray relocated to our Hong Kong office in 2007 and from that time he has been involved in the management of Asian and Emerging Market debt.

Murray holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He is also a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe).
